He surrendered a grand slam to San Francisco’s Christian Koss in the second and then the bullpen allowed an additional six runs. On the other side of the ledger, Corbin Carroll tied Aaron Judge and Kyle Schwarber for the MLB lead in home runs.

Photo by Christian Petersen/Getty Images Gallen Gives Snakes Exactly What They NeededSeriously, if things about this season don’t change, the Yankees will have to be salivating over the prospect of Gallen pitching in New York next year (and maybe the Mets too). Just wondering if any of my followers know of any remote volunteer opportunities? Online searches for them are worthless it seems. I would do in-person volunteer work, but my town has shuttered those programs entirely. I WANT TO HELP!

Well, isn't this just peach. The local public library no longer accepts book donations or volunteer workers. They also won't hire any paid workers. WTF are they going to do if someone shows up needing something? They have almost nothing in their massive new facility.

Okay, I totally get the reasons for having Code Compliance Officers. That they exist is fine. But someone please explain to me why a civil servant like that needs a bulletproof tactical vest and sidearm. There is no fucking good reason for that. It's just inviting tragedy.
