BY JAMES BROCKAs an Air Force veteran, I proudly served this nation. I’m pro-Constitution. I’m well-read and know and understand history. I’m also very much in favor of a free and competitive market. And I drive electric for several reasons: to protect national security, to achieve energy security through independence from oil, to create American jobs in EV-related industries, and to foster economic prosperity.

Editor’s note: James Brock loves to talk about wine with people who share his passion for it. They open bottles, swap stories about travel, winemakers, terroir and residual sugar, and discuss taste, food and restaurants. They recommend wines, they drink, they learn. In Wine Talk, Brock introduces you to friends, acquaintances and fellow travelers in the wine world — people who love to taste as much as he does. You’ll enjoy their insights, he hopes, and learn something along the way, too.

My current wine tasting schedule includes several bottles of rosé, a Napa red blend and a fig brandy from a family distillery in Sonoma County. It’s an eclectic lineup that showcases the diverse world of wine (and spirits). The 2023 Rosé of Pinot Noir from Alma de Cattleya ($25) is my first rosé pick. It’s another great bottling from Bibiana González Rave, who hails from Colombia.

He knows nothing about finances, taxes, tariffs, trading policies (and so much more). The president of the US is an ignoramus, strutting his large stage in a small and ridiculous manner. @RBReich @paulkrugman #TrumpRecession

Hegseth, you are an immature, inept, unqualified idiot whose behaviors are a disgrace to the military. To be honest, that applies to Gabbard as well, and Waltz. Liars all. Read this. @DNIGabbard @SecDef @DeptofDefense https://t.co/LEvDZCceAI

Waltz is a great one, ain’t he? Resign and go home. And @POTUS doesn’t seem to know what Signal is. My god … #TrumpIsUnfitForOffice @michaelgwaltz @JDVance @MalcolmNance https://t.co/D74AsOsvTp
