Toilets in Nicholsons Centre are well used I strongly support Andrew Ingram’s call (Viewpoint, June 13) for public toilets to be provided as part of the town centre redevelopment. The current ones in the Nicholsons Centre are well used and not just by older people. Babies and older children plus visitors to the town from London using the Elizabeth line are among others who need these facilities. Windsor has plenty of RBWM owned/run toilets. Surely Maidenhead merits some permanent provision.

1980: Members of Maidenhead Rotaract managed to smash their £1,000 fundraising target – despite a group of youths bringing a marathon disco to a premature end. Nightlife and culture should be essential I’ve lived in Maidenhead for six years. I moved here for the easy commute to London, but I stayed because I saw potential. And there’s no doubt Maidenhead is improving. We’ve seen more independent coffee shops, diverse food options, and exciting businesses like Bakedd, El Cerdo, ToMoTankova, and Presto showing what’s possible. With new gyms, beautiful parks, and a growing list of amenities, Maidenhead now offers something for most demographics.
