Federal authorities indicted two men for attempting to smuggle U.S. defense equipment, including missiles, air defense radar, and drones, to China while allegedly working with a person in Wisconsin. Prosecutors claim John Miller and Cui Guanghai worked with someone in eastern Wisconsin for a year and a half to try to get U.S. defense equipment to China so the Chinese government could "reverse engineer" the technology.

Newly unsealed search warrants have revealed potential drug use and mental health issues surrounding Isaiah Stott before a deadly police shooting on Milwaukee's Near West Side earlier this year. Stott, 24, died in a shootout with Milwaukee police, which also seriously injured officer Daniel Gonzales on Feb. 12 near 35th Street and Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee. Police are investigating his cellphone and social media for clues about what led to the shooting.
