Linus Guillory Jr. is stepping down as superintendent of Brookline schools on June 30 after four years on the job, according a joint statement issued by him and the School Committee Monday morning. Guillory informed the School Committee of his intent to resign in an April 15 letter to the board, which was released Monday morning. Guillory’s resignation was previously reported by Brookline.News.

Burlington Public Schools is facing two federal complaints after administering a health survey to middle school students that described various sexual acts in ways some parents found offensive. The complaints were filed with the US Department of Education on April 8 by the Massachusetts Liberty Legal Center, a Wakefield-based organization that defends free speech, religious liberty, and parental rights.
