The pedal pub, the brainchild of Brenden Floyd and his wife Janet, is a party bike that can take up to 15 people - with 10 able to pedal at their seats - on one of four sightseeing tours downtown.     ENFIELD - Tending to their broken-down car on the Mass Pike on their way to a Red Sox game in 1998, Don and Kim Lord found themselves in the middle of one of Boston's largest fundraisers - The Jimmy Fund Walk. Watching the walkers make their way down the course, the Lords decided to walk with them, as they had no other mode of transportation.

    Garden club members remember Lois Stover North Haven Garden Club members Gerri Giordano, Cindy Golia and Angela Buzzelli recently met up with Dwight Stover, son of the late Lois Stover, at the Lois Stover Pollinator Garden to plant a peony from her home garden. The peony is one of two that will be planted in her memory. Lois Stover was one of the North Haven Garden Club's founding members. She died April 2, just a week after her 100th birthday.

    Plainville middle schoolers attend manufacturer fair PLAINVILLE - A group of students from the Middle School of Plainville, led by faculty member Camille Westfall, joined students from other Connecticut middle schools, high schools and technical schools at the Manufacturer ConneCTtion Fair on May 15 at the state Capitol in Hartford. The fair featured local manufacturing booths and hands-on exhibits set up throughout the first floor of the Capitol.
