PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (KYW) — A three-alarm fire that engulfed multiple SEPTA buses at a yard in the Nicetown section of Philadelphia on Thursday is now under control, but lingering smoke could impact air quality. The decommissioned buses caught fire at the agency's Midvale depot located off Roberts Avenue, around 6:15 a.m., a SEPTA spokesperson said. Smoke from the fire was visible across the city and residents nearby were urged to stay in their homes and avoid the smoke as much as possible.

The view as we made our way to the SEPTA bus fire at the Midvale Depot in Nicetown. SEPTA says the buses on fire were decommissioned and headed to the scrap yard. No injuries reported. Neighbors in the area should keep their windows closed and use fans to recirculate indoor air. https://t.co/kLzcA019wN

We’re remembering the life and legacy of Pope Francis this morning as the late pontiff is laid to rest. Pope Francis was known for reaching out to society's forgotten. Below is my photo from 2015 when the pope visited prisoners at Curran-Fromhold Correctional Facility in Philly.
