Renowned Barn That Rocks promoter Peter Fall had two reasons to celebrate as he handed over a cheque for the proceeds raised from this year’s event. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance was presented with £25,391.44, while a further ££1,629.75 was raised for Prostate Cancer UK at the event. The donation brings the total money raised by Peter and his family through the Barn That Rocks, to £152,956.31 since the first concert was launched 13 years ago.

New Environment Secretary Steve Reed, Farming Minister Daniel Zeichner, the Archbishop of York and Countryfile's Adam Henson were among the thousands who flocked to the second day of the Great Yorkshire Show. After Tuesday's deluge, conditions underfoot were wet, but most came prepared and were thrilled to enjoy the traditional showcase of rural life.
