We've already experienced Redbud Winter; this upcoming cold snap is considered Dogwood Winter as the Dogwood trees are now in bloom. APRIL 11, 2025 - The last official freeze in Asheville was on March 27, which is earlier than the typical last spring freeze of April 11.

For days, the Midwest and Mid-South have been hammered by severe weather that has led to significant flooding and tornadoes. Storm reports in the Mid-South and Midwest over the past three days.
