    SAN JOSE - The head of a San Jose-based tech staffing firm was sentenced Monday to one year and two months in federal prison for visa fraud, prosecutors said. Kishore Dattapuram, 55, of Santa Clara, was indicted in February 2019 on one count of conspiracy to commit visa fraud and 10 counts of substantive visa fraud, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office. Dattapuram pleaded guilty to all counts in November.

    LIVERMORE - Two drivers died in a crash Monday morning in Livermore, police said. Around 5:55 a.m., a Ram pickup truck and a Honda collided on Isabel Avenue just north of Kalthoff Common, the Livermore Police Department said in a news release. Medical personnel pronounced both drivers dead at the scene. Police identified the Ram driver as a 43-year-old Tracy man and the Honda driver as a 23-year-old Manteca man.

    SAN JOSE - Concord police officers shot and injured an armed bank robbery suspect Monday morning in San Jose following a multi-county pursuit, police said. The incident kicked off shortly before 10 a.m., when a pair of armed suspects robbed a credit union in Concord, the Concord Police Department said in a news release. Officers found the suspect vehicle and started a pursuit when it drove away, police said.

    SAN JOSE - A 36-year-old man who allegedly brandished a gun and rammed a vehicle in separate road-rage incidents in San Jose is in custody, according to authorities. The first incident happened Feb. 27 near North Bascom Avenue and West San Carlos Street, San Jose police Officer Tanya Hernandez said in a news release Friday. The suspect almost merged into the victim, who honked their horn, Hernandez said.

    MARTINEZ - Eleven members of an Antioch-Pittsburg gang are facing charges that they worked together to steal millions of dollars in merchandise from stores across Contra Costa County, according to prosecutors. A 33-count felony complaint filed Thursday charges the gang members with conspiracy, grand theft of personal property, second-degree robbery and other offenses related to retail theft, the Contra Costa County District Attorney's Office said in a news release.
