The NFL’s decision to pause its accelerator program, formerly a key component of the league’s comprehensive approach to inclusive hiring, stirs questions. Here’s the biggest: In words and deeds, will the NFL’s stated commitment to diversity continue amid a climate hostile toward it?

Let’s get something straight about quarterback Shedeur Sanders’ nightmarish experience in the NFL draft: It had nothing to do with racism. While many draft observers viewed Sanders’ perceived slide as a stunning development in the three-day process, NFL employees who actually select players and put them on the field evaluated the situation much differently.

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – Sensational as a rookie last season, Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels revived the franchise while leading it to the NFC Championship Game for the first time in 33 seasons. Not surprisingly, the team and its fans are eagerly anticipating his second act. WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. – At his first NFL annual meeting as a head coach, Aaron Glenn on Monday shared his vision to finally fix the New York Jets, who have been in a perpetual rebuild. In the last 14 seasons, the Jets have had one winning season. They last qualified for the playoffs during the 2010-11 season. And when the 2025-26 season kicks off, Glenn will become the Jets’ fourth non-interim head coach in the past eight seasons. So much for stability.

In doing so, they made a clear statement about their change in direction under new head coach Aaron Glenn.

Staggering blow. Hard to see the Knicks winning this series now.

Knicks led by 14 with 2:45 to play in 4th quarter and now are in OT vs Pacers. Teams leading playoff game by 14+ in final 2:45 of 4th quarter are 994-0 in play by play era (since 1997)
