After a cool front dropped down on us overnight, we’re much cooler today than yesterday. But it is only a temporary cooldown. Tonight we’ll have a few clouds coming through, but dry. Lows will be in the mid 20s to around 30 as our breeze winds around to the south. Tomorrow will be partly to mostly sunny, with a very light easterly breeze. Temperatures will bounce back, about 20 degrees above normal, with highs in the low to mid 60s.

We had an exceptionally warm Sunday across KELOLAND, with everyone in KELOLAND enjoying much above-normal temperatures. The numbers don’t lie – we melted a lot, if not all of the snow cover that was still left. Overnight it will be mild, with a few clouds streaming in from the northwest. Lows will be in the upper 20s to low 30s. Monday will be extremely warm. It’s not out of the question that a couple places might set records.

We finally have a snow cover across KELOLAND, and that will impact our temperatures all week – and next week, too. Today’s highs were near-normal in southern KELOLAND, while a thicker snow pack held temps down in the northern part of the area, many places held in the mid 20s despite abundant sunshine. Clouds will be streaming in from the west overnight, but it will still be chilly, with temperatures near- or below-zero. It will be colder in NE South Dakota, where the snow cover is thickest.
