PIERRE, S.D. (KELO) — It’s going to cost more to buy one of the housing or daycare units that inmates build at Mike Durfee State Prison in Springfield. The South Dakota Housing Development Authority board on Tuesday voted to raise prices for the various buildings offered for sale through the Governor’s House program. A two-bedroom home will rise from the current $75,900 to $86,000, while a three-bedroom model will increase from the current $89,900 to $96,000.

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (KELO) — The Augustana softball team reached the NCAA Regionals and found success winning all three games. Now, the Vikings are off to the Super Regionals. The Vikings won the NSIC Tournament in early May, and that success continued into the NCAA Central Regional. The victories didn’t come easy as the first two games saw a combined eight extra innings. “Any sort of win that you can get down there is a huge win,” Augustana pitcher Grace Glanzer said.

BRANDON, S.D. (KELO)– The Washington softball went on to extend their win streak to ten in after claiming the 5-1 win over Brandon Valley Monday evening. The two teams met for a rescheduled battle that was intended for April 3rd. The Warriors would score three runs on two hits in the third inning to get things started. Washington held the Lynx to one run on four hits.

A truck, filled with clothing, could be found outside of Embe today. The truck was filled with boxes and boxes worth of donated clothing from the Movers for Moms event held by Two Men and a Truck.

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump on Monday signed a sweeping executive order setting a 30-day deadline for drugmakers to electively lower the cost of prescription drugs in the U.S. or face new limits down the road over what the government will pay. The order calls on the health department, led by Robert F. Kennedy Jr., to broker new price tags for drugs over the next month.
