College and high school students who hire help to complete their class assignments are finding themselves the victims of extortion cons. The BBB is seeing an increase in reports about scam tutors who make money by threatening to report cheating students. As soon as you pay up, the scammer will ask for more money instead of helping you complete your homework.

RENO, Nev. (KOLO) - Placer County is hosting two meetings to discuss the Environmental Impact Report for the Village at Palisades Tahoe Specific Plan. The plan was originally approved the plan in 2016, which looks to redevelop the existing ski resort base at the west end of Olympic Valley. With the EIR now revised Alterra Mountain Company, the owner and developer of Palisades Tahoe is moving ahead with plans to pursue reapproval of a proposed development.
