Wharton alumni and supporters filled New York City’s Gotham Hall on the evening of February 21. The 1920s-era venue, complete with vintage bronze teller windows and a grandiose stained-glass skylight spanning the entire room, was originally a bank — a fitting setting for finance superstar Jeremy Siegel. The penultimate stop on this year’s Wharton Impact Tour began with hors d’oeuvres and conversations between alumni and friends.

A man and a woman are behind bars and facing charges for their involvement in a series of armed robberies and a non-fatal shooting that happened across Philadelphia between August and September. District Attorney Larry Krasner announced the arrests in a news conference on Monday with the gun violence task force. Krasner said the couple is tied to at least five robberies across the city.

There have been multiple reports of people spotting Danelo Cavalcante around Chester County, Pennsylvania, but officials have not captured him yet. Cavalcante had just started a life sentence 10 days ago, for killing his girlfriend in 2021. Prison guards say Cavalcante somehow slipped past them.
