Carjacking ends in deadly police chase in Crescentville

A man is dead after a carjacking turned into a massive and deadly police chase in Northeast Philadelphia on Monday night. It started with a carjacking near G Street and East Hunting Park Avenue at around 7 p.m. Monday, according to Action News at 10 on PHL17. Police said the suspect allegedly shot a 32-year-old man before stealing his car. The victim is currently in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, according to reports.

In South Jersey, officials say a large brush fire on Sunday at a mulch recycling yard in Camden County could take days to put out fully. Smoke poured into the sky as the fire started Sunday at 4:22 p.m. inside Wade Salvage & Mulch farm on 225 Jackson Road in Atco, New Jersey. Officials said the blaze quickly escalated to a multi-alarm fire, threatening 50 homes in the area and prompting voluntary evacuations around the fire perimeter.

(WPHL)–One man is dead while two other men are injured after a shooting in North Philadelphia on Monday night. Police said it all happened at around 7:30 p.m. near the 1500 block of North 18th Street. When investigators arrived on the scene, they found three men had been shot. One man was transported to Temple University Hospital where he died just after 7:40 p.m., according to police. Investigators have not released the identity of the victim who died.

(WPHL)– A suspect is in custody after a Pottstown police officer was shot while responding to a car crash. The incident occurred at 5:06 p.m. at Beech Street and North Mount Street in Pottstown. An officer was responding to a two-car crash when one of the vehicle occupants tried to reach for a gun inside the car. The officer began struggling with the male to get the firearm away from him which is when the male got out of the car and began fleeing towards his residence on Winding Road.
