    Teton County, Idaho, will lose more than $1.4 million in federal grant funding meant to address chronic flooding in the Fox Creek area after the federal government abruptly eliminated the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities program. County Emergency Manager Greg Adams said two grant applications totaling $1.485 million were meant to address the flood-prone areas of Fox Creek on both the east and west sides of Highway 33.

    Fall River Electric Cooperative rates increased May 1 for customers in Teton Valley, Idaho; Teton County, Wyoming; and other parts of Idaho, Wyoming and Montana. This new rate change will result in an increase of about $7.20 per month to the average residential customer, or about $87 more a year. “We have had a long stretch without rate increases, nine years in fact before having a slight increase in early 2024,” Fall River Electric CEO and General Manager Bryan Case said in a news release.
