    SRF celebrates river historyThe annual Snake River Fest returns this weekend with a wealth of events that celebrate the history, stewardship and culture of the river. The three-day festival begins Friday with the Hoback race and party. The “Big Race on the Hoback” was first established by the Jackson Hole Kayak Club decades ago and takes place on a 4-mile stretch of the lower Hoback River. The class II/III race is open to rafters, kayakers and stand-up paddleboarders.
