PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - With the loss of Najee Harris it appeared the running back group would be more by committee. Reported first by Jordan Schultz, the Steelers are added another option on Sunday. Former Colts and Ohio State running back Trey Sermon reportedly signed a one-year contract. The 26-year-old was the 49ers third-round pick in 2021 rushing 41 times for 167 yards and a touchdown. He would spent 2022 with the Eagles carrying it two times for 19 yards.

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Even with the change at manager under the first few games of Don Kelly, hitting remains an issue. It's been an issue all year. PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - While there will likely be a wait to sign TJ Watt and they are still waiting on Aaron Rodgers, signing rookies has been lightning fast. Before the second day of rookie mini-camp, all but one draft choice was signed and eight undrafted players were added as well.

It created a bond between Kelly and Leyland.

PITTSBURGH (93.7 The Fan) - Offensively it wasn't much different than recent games, however for Don Kelly's first game as Pirates manager, no errors or mental mistakes and excellent starting pitching followed by a little drama in the ninth and a 3-2 win over Atlanta Friday night. Bailey Falter gave up a couple of hard-hit balls, but the Braves managed only a pair of singles as Falter walked a pair and struck out three over six scoreless innings.
