This will be Fein's fourth multifamily development in City Place, a 2,000-acre community that houses headquarters for Exxon, HPE and more. Fein, a locally based multifamily development and property management company, has broken ground on a new apartment complex in north Houston’s City Place master-planned community. The 326-unit project at 2002 Spring Stuebner Road, dubbed Echo Lake, will be Fein’s fourth multifamily development in City Place. The project was first announced in early 2024.

A new restaurant aimed at offering Western-style cuisine is taking over space that formerly was home to Egghaus Gourmet and King's BierHaus. Long Weekend is slated to open this fall in an 8,000-square-foot space at 2042 E. T.C. Jester Blvd., close to the TC Jester Hike and Bike Trails in the Shady Acres area near the Heights.

Although Sparkle & Bloom's founder always intended to open a permanent store, it took some time to find the right space. A small mobile business aimed at helping girls learn about makeup and skin care is making the move to its first brick-and-mortar location. Houston-based Sparkle & Bloom is in the process of building out a 1,656-square-foot space at 8207 Long Point Road in the Spring Branch area, with plans to open to the public by the end of the summer.

Just four years after opening its doors, one of downtown’s tallest office towers is 99% leased, thanks to a prestigious global law firm's new lease. Houston-based Hines announced March 12 that Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom signed the lease for 52,000 square feet — two full floors — in Texas Tower at 845 Texas Ave. The lease begins in April 2026.
