    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny, but chilly on Tuesday as temps rebounded from a 30-degree low at Evansville Regional Airport. Breezy overnight as lows drop to near freezing. Wednesday will bring increasing clouds and a few scattered showers and thunderstorms by evening. Afternoon highs should rise to 62, which is near the normal for this time of the year. Thursday will be the warmest day of the work week with highs in the upper 60s and a few more scattered showers and storms.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -Sunny, cool, spring weather returned to the Tri-State on Monday after a record-setting week of flooding, rainfall and severe weather. We will get to enjoy mainly pleasant and seasonable weather this week. Clear skies will allow temps to fall into the upper 20s on Tuesday morning. A Freeze Warning is in effect for the Tri-State through Tuesday morning. Tuesday will be sunny and brisk with highs in the lower 50s, about 15 degrees cooler than normal.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -A whopping 10-12″ of rain fell across Western Kentucky over the last 3 days, and flooding will continue through mid-week. Evansville Regional Airport received a record 3.04″ of rain on Sunday for a grand total of 6.67″ of rain over the last 3 days...this is nearly double the amount we would receive in an entire month. The Ohio River at Evansville will jump to 46.6 feet by the end of the week, about 4.5 feet above flood stage.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) - Flooding rainfall will continue today across the Tri-State. Flash flooding will worsen as our stubborn weather pattern dumps even more rain over the area. Already, Evansville Regional Airport has picked up 3.63″ of rain in a little over 2 days, nearly a month’s worth. In Western Kentucky, Madisonville has received 6.72″ of rain in 2 days as measured at WKU’s mesonet site.

    EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WFIE) -The Tri-State is in a level 3 of 5 (Enhanced) risk for severe storms late Friday overnight through Saturday morning. The Storm Prediction Center upgraded the tornado threat and overall severe threat. Timing for the storms will be very late, from around 9-10pm in Illinois, 10pm-12am across the Evansville-Henderson metro areas, and possibly after 2am for our eastern counties (Jasper, Owensboro, Hartford).
