The station is owned by Mission Broadcasting, which is based in Wichita Falls, Texas. It operates under a shared services agreement (SSA) with Nexstar Media Group. KOLR is closely linked with two other stations: KOZL-TV, a MyNetworkTV affiliate on channel 27, and KRBK, a Fox affiliate on channel 49, both of which are part of Nexstar's Springfield operations. The studios for all three stations are located on East Division Street in Springfield, while KOLR's transmitter can be found on Switchgrass Road, just north of Fordland.
