OSSEO, Wis. (WEAU) - The end of the school year is exciting for everyone. It means the end of classes for students. For some staff, it also means the end of a career. Some students at Osseo-Fairchild Elementary are giving those staff a special thank you. There are 18 students in the Osseo-Fairchild Elementary School crochet club, learning to create anything from little animals to blankets. Through this club, these students decided to give back to those who have given to the school for decades.

BARRON, Wis. (WEAU) - In 2008, Chris Fitzgerald was sworn in as the next Barron County Sheriff. Now, he is preparing to leave the position. “I’m looking forward to meeting all the employees and hitting the ground running,” Fitzgerald said the day he was sworn in. Hit the ground running is what he did. “Our first focus was underage drinking. Our underage drinking numbers were really high, about 140-160 underage drinkers,” Fitzgerald said.
