Light the Hoan will begin work to add lights to the east side of the iconic Milwaukee bridge this month, so that both sides of the span will be illuminated.
The new lights won’t only be visible to boaters and ships out on Lake Michigan, but also to folks along much of the lakefront, including from Veterans Park, Lakeshore State Park, Discovery World, the Summerfest grounds, South Shore Park and more.

MILWAUKEE — Sidney Moncrief was always more than a basketball player to me. Growing up in Milwaukee, I went to many Milwaukee Bucks games during Moncrief’s era from 1979-89). Through 10 seasons with the team, he averaged nearly 4 assists per game, shot more than 50% from the field, and scored at a clip of almost 17 points per game.

1. Ope!
This single-syllable, versatile word conveys apology, surprise and/or acknowledgment. Often said when one person accidentally bumps into another in a public place. “You're fine,” is a common response to "Ope!” in this situation.

The answer to the question, "What's America's best city to hold your next convention in?" may not be as easy to answer as it was a few weeks ago. It's usually Las Vegas. Right? Easy. Milwaukee's now entered the game. Let's examine:☑️cost-effective☑️centrally located☑️perfect weather - even in the winter - not too hot not too cold☑️easy set up with several major venues☑️easy travel - even if you have to stay 30 miles away, it's pretty darn easy to get into the Baird Center in the heart of Downtown.

For more than 17 years, she guided community and sales at the The Bartolotta Restaurants. With her husband, Joe, and his brother Paul Bartolotta, they essentially created and fueled the modern-day dining momentum we now have in greater Milwaukee. Almost 5 years ago to the day, Joe passed away - leaving a whole lotta holes in the hearts of greater Milwaukeeans - and a big one in Jennifer's heart.

Both the Ardent tasting room and its reimagined casual lounge at 1751 N. Farwell Ave. have taken a winter hiatus with a reopening planned for May. But the Ardent Lounge will be open this weekend for a very special pop-up with Chicago Chef Brian Fisher
The pop-up – which Chef and owner Justin Carlisle describes as having a “neighborhood wine bar feel” – will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, April 6 and Sunday, April 7. No reservations are required; service will be first come, first served.

The City of Milwaukee has been using a variety of strategies in an ongoing effort to discourage and prevent reckless driving, from protected bike lanes to curb bump-outs to speed humps.
Statistics suggest these tactics are working, but Mayor Cavalier Johnson would like to see more immediate, lasting results. He even has a plan to partner with Wisconsin businesses to make it happen.
