    THE BODY of a man has been pulled from a canal in Glasgow as police investigate an "unexplained" death. We reported yesterday how officers cordoned off a path leading to the Forth and Clyde Canal in the Knightswood area of the city. Emergency services rushed to the scene after the alarm was raised at around 6.30am on Tuesday morning. Police said they received reports of concern for a person in the water near Blairdardie Drive at Gorget Avenue.

Police were called to Clouden Road, Cumbernauld at around 5.10pm yesterday. Cops said they had received a report of a man's behaviour causing concern to members of the public.     THE BBC has announced who will replace Sally Magnusson following her decision to step down after nearly 30 years as a presenter on Reporting Scotland. The veteran broadcaster, aged 69, confirmed in January that she would be stepping aside after joining the BBC’s flagship news programme in 1997. Magnusson initially co-hosted the programme alongside Jackie Bird, 62, before later working with Laura Miller, 44.
