No severe weather is expected. Rain will linger on Monday into Tuesday behind this system. Rainfall amounts will easily range around an inch with locally higher amounts. This will continue to help push out smoke particles.

Then, coverage becomes more widespread with storms during the afternoon. It will push east tonight. A few storms could be strong to severe. The Storm Prediction Center has the Central and Eastern U.P. under a marginal risk for a couple of severe storms to develop. The hazards include damaging winds, hail, and heavy rain.

There’s a combination of gusty winds, low humidity, and dry conditions. Gusts will range 25-30mph, and relative humidity will be 25 to 35%. Please forgo open flames and do not park vehicles on grassy surfaces. Today’s daily wildfire danger rating is from very high to extreme across the U.P., per the Department of Natural Resources.
