Temperatures will range from the upper 70s to the 80s extending into early next. There is an elevated wildfire risk for Mother’s Day as it will be breezy and warmer. Southerly winds will have speeds of 15-20mph and gusts of 25-30mph, coupled with low relative humidity.

The dry stretch continues through Friday as high-pressure controls. There is a small chance for spotty rain Friday night into Saturday with a front,The weekend will be nice with Mother’s Day reaching into the 70s. By early next week an upper-level ridge strengthens over the Upper Midwest with an unseasonably warm air mass.

MARQUETTE, Mich. (WLUC) -A glimpse of summer is ahead today, with temperatures climbing 10-20° above normal. Many areas will be topping off well into the 70s. However, colder air follows tomorrow behind a cold front. Temperatures will drop below normal. This front swings through tonight with isolated rain. Afterward, there will be gradual warming into Friday. Another front swings through with spotty rain Friday night into Saturday morning. Rainfall amounts will be less than a tenth of an inch.
