Petaluma police are warning drivers to avoid Ely Boulevard at Capistrano Way on Wednesday afternoon due to a “major traffic incident” that appears to have resulted in a fatality. The Petaluma Police Department is seeking the public’s help for information on an armed attack and carjacking last week involving a 16-year-old victim in Petaluma. At about 8:30 p.m. Thursday night, the teenage victim called police to report he had been robbed at gunpoint and his car stolen after he and some friends drove to Clubhouse Drive, close to the former Adobe Creek Golf Course off Frates Road, with the intention to sell clothing.
