Petaluma’s proposed FY 2025-26 budget available for viewing

Petaluma’s proposed budget for the upcoming 2025-26 fiscal year is now available for public viewing on the city website. The city’s finance department will review the budget in detail at the next City Council meeting on Monday, May 12, said Finance Director Jessie Gooch at the City Council’s May 5 meeting. The 412-page budget is “a reflection of our values and reflects a significant investment into our community,” Gooch said.

Petaluma is officially a “Coast Guard City.”The newly bestowed honor, “reserved for municipalities that demonstrate extraordinary support for Coast Guard personnel and their families,” according to the city of Petaluma, was announced last month, putting Petaluma on a short list of 37 cities and communities across the country to receive the distinction.
