Two-time Champion Jiyai Shin of Korea fired a 5-under-par 67 to bolt past 36-hole leader and world number 1 Nelly Korda to gain the lead after three rounds of the AIG Women’s Open at the Old Course, St Andrews. Shin’s three-round total of 7-under gave her a one stroke lead over Lilia Vu, the reigning Champion playing in the day’s final group with Korda, who posted a 1-under-par 71.

England’s Charley Hull posted four birdies on her closing nine holes to shoot a 5-under-par 67 for the first-round lead of the AIG Women’s Open, conducted by The R&A, at the Old Course at St Andrews. “It was loads of fun out there today,” said Hull of holding the lead in windy and challenging conditions. “Actually, before my round I was in there watching it on the TV when I saw the scores, and I thought, how is she (Yin) 4-under par; that was an unbelievable score.

(AP) — Denied a spot in Paris because the Dutch Olympic committee didn't think she was good enough to contend, Dewi Weber shot a 10-under 62 on Friday to take the second-round lead in the Portland Classic. Weber qualified for the Olympics under International Golf Federation standards, but was left out because of the country's separate standards for all sports to meet a realistic chance of a top-eight finish.

CALGARY, Alberta (AP) — Lauren Coughlin won the CPKC Women's Open on Sunday for her first LPGA Tour title, pulling away from Haeran Ryu with a two-stroke swing on the par-3 17th. Tied for the lead after Ryu three-putted for bogey on the par-4 16th, Coughlin hit a 6-iron to 8 feet and birdied the 195-yard 17th. Ryu then missed a 3-foot par try to fall two shots back. "It was kind of a tweener of a club," Coughlin said.
