The victim of a deadly car crash in Southeast Charlotte on Wednesday was a 17-year-old student at North Mecklenburg High School. On Thursday, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools confirmed that senior Dontae Palmer was the student who died in the crash. North Mecklenburg High School Principal Stephanie Hood shared the following statement with families after the crash:“I’m sorry to inform you that one of our students, Dontae Palmer, age 17, died yesterday afternoon in a car accident.
