    Crafters often leave behind unfinished projects. Physical conditions like arthritis, poor eyesight, or dementia can make it impossible to keep working. And sometimes crafters die before they’re able to complete the quilt, sweater, or other handiwork they started. Avid knitters Masey Kaplan and Jen Simonic realized they both had the experience of finishing projects that other people had left behind.

    The annual Boston Calling festival kicked off on Friday with headliners Ed Sheeran and Leon Bridges, continued into Saturday headlined by Tyler Childers and Trey Anastasio & Classic TAB and wrapped up Sunday night with The Killers and Hozier. This year's festival featured sunny skies and warm temperatures to usher in summer.     Members of the activist group IfNotNow blocked the intersection of Summer Street and Atlantic Avenue Thursday morning as an act of civil disobedience to call for a cease-fire in Gaza. The protesters stood and sat in the roadways at the busy downtown intersection near South Station for about 45 minutes during the early morning commute, halting traffic on both streets.     Just one week after the Iowa caucuses, New Hampshire holds the country’s first primary election. New Hampshire has continuously held the first primary in the nation for over 100 years. Compared to Iowa, New Hampshire’s electorate is more moderate partially because independents are allowed to participate in the primaries. New Hampshire voters turned out and were met with crowds and lines. Candidates visited polling places to make their final pitches voters.
