CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A new federal lawsuit claims authorities used excessive force and violated the rights of a man accused of hitting and killing a sheriff’s deputy. Rodney Hinton Jr., who is the father of an 18-year-old who was shot and killed by a Cincinnati police officer on May 8, is accused of “intentionally” hitting and killing retired Hamilton County Deputy Sheriff’s Office Deputy Larry Henderson with his car on May 2, according to Cincinnati Police Chief Teresa Theetge.

CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A Cincinnati man is accused of shooting someone while a child was with him in his car. 41-year-old Michael Chandler is facing charges of felonious assault, endangering children, and a weapons charge in Hamilton County, according to the criminal complaint. Cincinnati police detectives believe Chandler had a child in his car with him Saturday when he drove to a gas station to shoot a man, according to the complaint.

On Friday, Tamara Moore, 53, is seeking a new lawyer, a move that Judge Jody Luebbers interpreted as an attempt to delay her trial. Additionally, her current attorney, Clyde Bennett, requested to withdraw from the case. This was the only point of agreement between Moore and Bennett.

FALMOUTH, Ky. (WXIX) - The former mayor of Falmouth, Kentucky is facing charges after being accused of trespassing on city property. Falmouth police say they arrested Sebastian Ernst, who was impeached for “neglect of office” in Jan. 2024, after what they’re calling a series of “escalating incidents.”Police say Ernst went to the police department Monday and threatened city employees.
