    DAYTON, Ohio (WXIX) -Two attorneys from Dayton announced on Monday that they have filed a class-action lawsuit against Kettering Health and other parties on behalf of patients who they claim were affected by a data breach on May 20. Michael Wright and Richard Schulte, from the law firm Wright and Schulte, are leading this legal action. The lawsuit states that the ransomware group Interlock breached Kettering Health’s systems on May 20, stealing over 730,000 files from more than 20,000 folders.

After a four-day trial, a Clermont County jury found Brigham Jones guilty of 33 counts, including rape of a child under 13, rape, gross sexual imposition and sexual battery, Clermont County Prosecutor Mark Tekulve announced. “This verdict represents a long-awaited measure of justice,” said Tekulve.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Questions and accusations of negligence circulate after a beloved veteran and business owner was killed by a convicted felon in his Over-the-Rhine home. Mordecia Black, 38, is accused of fatally stabbing 46-year-old Patrick Heringer after he broke into his home June 4. According to FOX19 NOW’s previous coverage, Black is a convicted felon who was released on parole after serving an 8-year prison sentence for beating a man unconscious during a robbery.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A suspect’s Facebook post helped lead to his arrest after he crashed a stolen vehicle into a school playground, Hamilton County court records show. Nathaniel Frazier is charged with vandalism, receiving stolen property and obstructing official business, according to the court records. On May 13, court records say Frazier drove a 2017 Dodge Challenger into the U-Haul parking garage on Calhoun Street. The car was reported stolen out of Franklin County, Ohio.

    CINCINNATI (WXIX) - A former Milwaukee Brewers player is suing the Cincinnati Reds over an injury he says ended his career. Darin Ruf, a former first baseman for the Brewers, is suing the Reds for negligence and negligent hiring and training, according to a lawsuit filed in Hamilton County. The lawsuit says Ruf claims he was playing for the Brewers at Great American Ball Park in June 2023 when he ran to catch a foul ball on the field and hit his knee on the tarp roller.
