A conditional use permit for a car rental site passed its initial Kenosha Plan Commission hearing Thursday night with an amendment. The panel approved the conditional use permit for Oscar Rental, 5955 Green Bay Road, with an amendment that a final parking layout for the entire site to be submitted for review and approval by the Plan Commission. The city also listed site conditions to meet for approval including landscaping, clarification on lighting and public sidewalk connection.

A proposal to bring Florida-based restaurant chain First Watch to Kenosha awaits approval from the Kenosha City Council after it passed a final city Plan Commission hearing Thursday night. Ald. Jan Michalski, vice-chair of the Plan Commission, confirmed a conditional use permit for the proposed restaurant passed on Thursday, and will next go before City Council on May 19.
