Investigators returned to two key locations, the Harbor Grand Condos and the WINK News parking lot, to gather more evidence related to a recent fatal shooting. Divers from the Lee County Sheriff's Office searched Billy Creek Monday next the Fort Myers Broadcasting Company, where WINK News is headquartered, for the weapon used in the incident. WINK News reporter Jillian Haggerty was on the scene near where the shooting took place on Sunday.

There are at least two active scenes connected to a shooting investigation. It happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. One scene is across the street from WINK News on Palm Beach Boulevard outside Harbor Grand. There is a heavy police presence along Oasis Way and Palm Beach Blvd. One witness told us he saw several shell casings on the ground. WINK News reporter Maddie Herron spoke to the man who came face-to-face with the suspect in an exclusive interview.

The Fort Myers Police Department has confirmed that 1 person is dead and 1 is in custody following a shooting on Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers. The man has been identified as Yanko Romero. He is currently charged with a weapon offense. The shooting occurred near the Harbor Grand and The Oasis on Palm Beach Boulevard. It happened just before 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Neighbors said they heard multiple shots. FMPD said that the suspect and the victim did not know each other.

A 12-year-old girl was found alive after a terrifying ordeal in the Cecil Webb Wildlife Management Area in Charlotte County. Her grandmother expressed that the family feels incredibly lucky after good Samaritans discovered the girl. "She was a brave little girl," said Eunice Kent. The girl recounted to Charlotte County deputies that she was attacked with a knife by her mother, identified as 34-year-old Gwendolyn Girard.
