There are at least two active scenes connected to a shooting investigation. It happened just before 9:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. One scene is across the street from WINK News on Palm Beach Boulevard outside Harbor Grand. There is a heavy police presence along Oasis Way and Palm Beach Blvd. One witness told us he saw several shell casings on the ground. The Fort Myers Police Department has confirmed that 1 person is dead and 1 is in custody following a shooting on Palm Beach Blvd. in Fort Myers. The man has been identified as Yanko Romero. He is currently charged with a weapon offense. The shooting occurred near the Harbor Grand and The Oasis on Palm Beach Boulevard. It happened just before 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Neighbors said they heard multiple shots. FMPD said that the suspect and the victim did not know each other.
