Town Manager Andrew Meadwell said in last week’s town council meeting that the town “found out like most of you when we saw the equipment being unloaded,” adding that this is a NCDOT resurfacing project. “This project was let, I think, two years ago,” he said.

Lawson, who has been serving as the chairman of the planning board, was the mayor of Lewisville from 2005-2007, followed by three consecutive terms on the town council from 2007-2013 — for a total of eight consecutive years.
