Tejano star's daughter launches GoFundMe after dad's operation

Tejano star Raúl Navaira's daughter has launched a GoFundMe campaign following her dad's emergency surgery. Navaira, known to fans as Raulito, underwent emergency spinal surgery "and will be on a long road to recovery," according to a Thursday morning post by his daughter Destiny, a musician in her own right. "My dad has given his time and love to many in need so we ask at this time to support him when he needs it most," she wrote.
Post Malone is Texas awesome at the Alamodome

Two months before his 30th birthday and about 10 years since he recorded his first song, Post Malone parked his Big Ass Stadium Tour in the Alamodome. Throughout his two-hour concert Wednesday night, the thousands in the nearly sold-out dome treated him like the superstar he is. Post Malone, though, seemed to be continually amazed by how far he's come since he released that song, "White Iverson," in 2015.
Austin City Limits Music Festival announces 2025 lineup

Sabrina Carpenter, Hozier, Doja Cat and Luke Combs are among the headliners for this year's Austin City Limits Music Festival. The lineup was announced Tuesday morning for the festival, which takes place Oct. 3-5 and 10-12 at Zilker Park. Also headed to Austin are the Strokes, John Summit, Doechii, Mk.gee, MJ Lenderman, Latin Mafia and Djo, aka "Stranger Things" star Joe Keery.

A buzzy new country duo has cancelled its tour the same day they were set to play San Antonio. Julien Baker and Torres were scheduled to play Stable Hall tonight. A Sunday morning post on Baker and Torres' social media accounts announced the cancellation. "Due to recent events, Julien Baker is prioritizing her well-being and taking time to focus on her health," the post reads. "This decision was not made lightly, and we understand the disappointment this may cause for fans.

The end of Fiesta is so close to Cinco de Mayo that they could be revelers packed into La Villita for a Night in Old San Antonio. The celebrations essentially overlap. While Market Square is typically the site of a Cinco de Mayo party the weekend leading up to May 5, this year Fiesta de los Reyes will be winding up on Sunday with performances by David Farias and Tropa Estrella among many others.

Revived Fiesta music festival La Semana Alegre will be free this year

It's a party weekend. Again. La Semana Alegre, the Fiesta music festival that was revived last year, is returning May 1 and 2 to Civic Park at Hemisfair, and this time it's going to be free. Susan Thompson, president and executive director of the Hemisfair Conservancy, called the festival "our gift to the city" in a statement released Thursday. La Semana Alegre, which began in the early '70s, returned last year under new leadership after an absence of almost three decades.

Midwestern rockers Chevelle will kick off their summer tour Aug. 7 with a concert at the Boeing Center at Tech Port. The San Antonio tour launch follows a couple of Texas festival dates for the band: BuzzFest on May 24 at the Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion in the Woodlands with Marilyn Manson, Blue October and more; and KEGL's BFD, another radio station-sponsored event with a similar lineup, on May 25 at the Dos Equis Pavilion in Dallas.
