PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - The Pennsylvania House Transportation chairman is pushing a bill that would stop sending state money earmarked for road and bridge repair to the State Police. Committee chairman, Philadelphia Democrat Ed Nielsen, says since the late 1930s, a portion of the Motor License Fund, which is supposed to go to road and bridge repair, has gone to Pennsylvania State Police.

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) - A Kentucky man charged with human trafficking is accused of using Snapchat to befriend a 13-year-old girl, threatening her family, and arranging sexual encounters between her and men in Bucks County. Bucks County District Attorney Jen Schorn said the mother of a 13-year-old girl contacted detectives after she found communications between her daughter and a man later identified as 29-year-old Zachary McCauley, of Louisville, Kentucky.

POTTSTOWN, Pa. (KYW Newsradio) - A man was killed by police in Pottstown after fleeing the scene of a car crash, barricading himself in his home for five hours, and shooting an officer, authorities said. Shortly after 5 p.m. Sunday, police received a report of a two-car crash at Beech and North Mount Vernon streets. When police arrived, one of the drivers - later identified as 25-year-old Andrew Jackson Ecker - reached for a gun. There was a struggle and he fled on foot.

PHILADELPHIA (KYW Newsradio) - Police in Montgomery County are investigating a carjacking early Friday morning in Oaks. Upper Providence police said it happened around 1 a.m. near the intersection of Black Rock and Egypt roads. A person told police that men in masks flashed a handgun and stole their car. As police were responding, they received word of a second stolen vehicle in the area. The two cars were spotted not far from that intersection.
