    The Pewaukee Common Council approved a plan to redevelop the Pewaukee Golf Club into a mixed-use residential area. The project will include 283 apartments, 27 condominiums and up to 160 single-family homes. The development will also include a clubhouse, a private park, trails and a nature preserve. A golf course in the City of Pewaukee will set aside well-manicured greens and instead feature residential lawns under a now-approved development plan made up of hundreds of new homes and apartments.

    Waukesha's long-simmering trend for Mexican cuisine may continue with the addition of another restaurant, this time along an industrial section of West St. Paul Avenue. Las Cazuelas Restaurant was listed as the operator in city planning documents involving minor changes at an old commercial building at 818 W. St. Paul Ave., near Prairie Avenue. Used for a number of purposes over the years, it was most notably a drive-in eatery decades ago known as The Bun.

    Construction of a Cobblestone Hotel & Suites in downtown Waukesha is underway and expected to be completed in 2026. The project faced delays due to asbestos removal and the need to secure new financing. The hotel will feature 60 rooms, an indoor pool and a Wissota Chophouse restaurant and bar. City officials and the developer believe the hotel will boost the downtown economy and attract more visitors.
