AbstractIntroductionColorectal cancer (CRC) is the third most common malignancy, and metastasis is the major cause of mortality (1). Liver or peritoneal metastasis is common among patients with CRC, leading to a poor prognosis and short overall survival (2, 3). Therefore, there is an urgent need to develop effective strategies to improve the prognosis of patients with metastatic CRC. Immune checkpoint blockades (ICBs) bring hope for long-term survival of cancer patients.
