However, co-founder Taylor McKinnon insists that the Californian plant-based quick-service brand was not "a nod to any brand in particular," but was actually inspired by the circus's loud and colorful branding.

Starbucks confirmed the company is changing how Rewards members earn stars for the coffee chain's popular reusable cup benefit starting June 24. Previously, Starbucks Rewards members who brought in a reusable cup from home received a $0.10 discount and an automatic 25-star bonus. That bonus has now been replaced with double stars. The company notified Rewards members of the change Monday.

After the Senate and U.S. House of Representatives passed similar bills establishing a tax deduction for tipped employees like restaurant servers, a group of restaurant operators is asking Congress to broaden the bill to include back-of-house workers like kitchen staff. If signed into law, the No Tax on Tips Act would establish a new tax deduction of up to $25,000 a year for employees who typically receive cash tips and earn $160,000 a year or less.
