However, finding a way for Louisiana drivers to keep more money in their pockets remains elusive. On Thursday, Temple held a press conference at the Bengal Transportation Services in Geismar to announce his support for around 20 bills already pre-filed for the next legislative session scheduled for Monday, April 14.

    BATON ROUGE — The Mary Bird Perkins Cancer Center now has access to the latest radiation oncology technology thanks to an extended partnership with Swedish medical device manufacturer Elekta. Mary Bird Perkins was the first cancer center in the country to have the Elekta Harmony Pro radiation therapy treatment machine. According to the doctors who work with the machine, they treated the first patient with the machine in December 2024.

    LIVINGSTON - The Rock the Country festival returned to the capital region this weekend, albeit in a different parish. In 2024, the festival was held at the Lamar Dixon Expo Center in Gonzales. This year, the event was hosted in Livingston at the parish fairgrounds. Sunday morning after the festival wrapped up, the last of the attendees were leaving the party. Because of rain in the capital region late Saturday and early Sunday, getting the RVs out was a muddy endeavor.

    BATON ROUGE - A Baton Rouge custodian is amongst the top 10 finalists for Cintas' national 2025 Custodian of the Year contest. Her name is Ms. Brenda Finkelstein and she works at the LSU Early Childhood Education Laboratory Preschool. Every day that she works, she's the first one in the building. She starts the day by turning on the lights, making sure the AC is working, and getting everything from cleaning to supplies ready. She's done this at the preschool for three years now.
