ROANOKE, Va. (WDBJ) - Brian Wishneff, a former Roanoke city official and private consultant who played a major role in the renovation of the Roanoke City Market, the Hotel Roanoke and other historic buildings, has died. Wishneff served as the city’s economic development director, and later as a member of city council. He was an expert on tax credits and assisted with a long list of major development projects in Virginia and other states.

LEXINGTON, Va. (WDBJ) - 99-year-old Jack Moran was on post Thursday morning as the Virginia Military Institute Corps of Cadets marched in a Memorial Parade. The cadets were honoring the bravery and sacrifice of almost 600 VMI graduates who have died in service to the nation.
