About 150 people turned out Thursday for the official groundbreaking for Bellevue’s massive indoor water park that aims to draw loungers and thrill-seekers from around the country. The park, which backers say will be among the best in the nation, is slated to open in late 2026 and anchor a new entertainment district in the southeast corner of Sarpy County. Some dirt work has already taken place at the site, with construction set to begin this spring.
