The gunman accused of fatally shooting his family members, including a 13-year-old girl, in Pennsylvania before fleeing to New Jersey had barricaded himself inside a home in Trenton with hostages, officials said. The suspected shooter, Andre Gordon, 26, allegedly shot and killed the victims Saturday morning at two locations in Levittown, Pennsylvania. Police said he then carjacked a driver at gunpoint and fled to New Jersey where he was “tracked to his home” in Trenton.

An 11-year-old was arrested and accused of taking a gun to a Jacksonville, Florida, school last week, officials said. Three students told a teacher at Beauclerc Elementary School that the 11-year-old had a 9 mm handgun on Feb. 5, the Jacksonville County Sheriff's Office said in an arrest report. The child was seen in the bathroom racking the slide of the handgun and waving it around, the witnesses told the teacher, the report said.

A woman delivering packages for Amazon was seriously injured when a rattlesnake bit her at a residence in Palm City, Florida, authorities said. "The snake bite victim was transported to the hospital where she is in very serious condition," the Martin County Sheriff's Office said in a statement on Tuesday. An eastern diamondback rattlesnake was coiled up near the front door of the location and struck as the driver put the package down on Monday, the office said.

Armed with bear spray a group of up to 50 people swarmed a Los Angeles mall on Saturday making away with around $100,000 worth of luxury items, according to officials. Between 30 to 50 people descended on the Nordstrom at the Westfield Topanga Mall in Woodland Hills, using the bear spray to neutralize security guards and making off with thousands of dollars worth of luxury handbags and high-end clothing, a Los Angeles Police Department spokesman told NBC News.

A midair collision between a helicopter and a gyrocopter as a major airshow was underway in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, left two dead and two injured Saturday, authorities said. Two others died earlier in the day when a single-engine plane went into nearby Lake Winnebago, Capt. Lara Vendola-Messer with the Winnebago County Sheriff’s Office said. The two incidents happened as the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh fly-in and convention was being held nearby.

Watch your pets people… These airborne predators do not discriminate between animal species, domesticated or wild. All they care about is their next meal. Sadly, our beloved pets, whether it be small dogs or cats, are generally insanely easy targets for them. The same way one of these flying dinosaurs will swoop down on a rabbits, prairie dogs, and even fish, eagles think nothing of digging their talons into Fluffy, the 2-pound rodent you keep in your purse (sorry people, that’s not a dog).
