    It's easy to forget, but, once the first whistle blows, sports are supposed to be fun. There are too few hours in the day and too many other obligations to willingly sit down and spend multiple hours voluntarily doing something we dislike. Right? Well, maybe that wasn't the case over the past few weeks. On one hand, there's been plenty of chatter that the tournament was boring. The favorites were too good, and a Final Four consisting of all four No. 1 seeds only confirmed that.

    Part of baseball's appeal is that it's relatively timeless. Whether you're a kid playing in the backyard or a star like Aaron Judge, your essential gear boils down to a bat, a ball and a glove. Have there been some technological advancements? Sure, but today's game isn't that different from the one Babe Ruth, Jackie Robinson and so many other legends played. The torpedo bat upends that legacy a bit.

    While most major sporting events can be a bit formulaic, March Madness is usually different. As its name implies, the single-elimination format means unpredictability, and upsets come with the territory. If one team has a bad day, there isn't a do-over; their NCAA Tournament is over. The current edition of the men's tournament, however, didn't see that many shocking results. The favorites were largely comfortable, and we even have all the No. 1 seeds in the Final Four for only the second time.
