It's weird when decades later, you go past your childhood home and the siding is different, the tree in the front yard with the swing is gone, sometimes it's not even a house anymore - just an empty lot. It's the same feeling you get when you see what your old stomping grounds have become. A bar where you once were headbanging to the best Def Leppard covers is now a barber shop. Or the place you once took the stage to tens of screaming fans is now where chiropractors are finishing up their degrees.

I love Record Store Day! This Saturday, April 12! Of course, to me, everyday is record store day since I spend a good part of my time hanging around my local Ragged Records, or Co-Op store in the Quad Cities. I also don't mind a day trip to a joint nearby, as I've found some great treasures at Metro In Cedar Falls, and the Analog Vault in Cedar Rapids. Heck, I scored some great old Jazz records from the 50's still sealed at Revival Records in Eau Claire, WI.

The McRib is back and McDonald’s fans across the SouthCoast are racing to get their hands on the elusive sandwich. For Carlos Esteves of Fall River, what should have been a joyful reunion quickly turned into a frustrating ordeal. Esteves was thrilled when he saw the McRib listed on the McDonald’s mobile app, but was slightly bummed when the first McDonald's he tried ordering from did not have any McRibs in stock.
