    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Honor Flight Southern Nevada veterans stepped back into the 1950’s when they laid a wreath at the Korean War Veterans Memorial in Washington D.C.“I felt good. I was glad to do it. To be an honor to do something like that,” said 90-year-old Frank Martinez. Martinez, who served in the Army in the 1950’s, was one of 35 Korean War and Vietnam War veterans who took a recent trip to tour war memorials with Honor Flight Southern Nevada.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - A recent trip to Washington D.C., as part of Honor Flight Southern Nevada, led several Vietnam veterans to face a difficult memorial. For some it was the first time seeing the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Wall, which contains the names of more than 58,000 Americans who made the ultimate sacrifice for the United States. Eighty-four-year-old Kenneth Pavese, a Marine Corporal and Helicopter Crew Chief was serving stateside from 1960 to 1964.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Hundreds of people showed their respect and support to Nevada veterans when they touched back down at Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday night. People clapped, waved signs and cheered for the returning Honor Flight Southern Nevada group. They left for the Washington D.C. area on Friday morning to tour war memorials built for them. Honor Flight is a non-profit that sends veterans to see their memorials, at no cost to them. The trip covered through donations.

    LAS VEGAS, Nev. (FOX5) - Jose Osegueda was driving home from work on the Strip on the morning of Super Bowl Sunday, when he saw a driver coming at him the wrong way. Osegueda was heading northbound on I-15 toward the Spaghetti Bowl. “It just zoomed past me,” he said. Cameras on his Tesla car picked up different angles of the wrong way driver, who was in the HOV lane. “I was really confused at first and then in that moment I was just so shocked. I didn’t know how to feel until after the incident.
