High income (for now) states complaining they pay more to feds than they get don’t understand progressive taxes and redistribution. Funny to hear ca and ny complain they pay, and simultaneously for redistribution, inequality, equity, etc.

I want to see a good accounting of this. Count things like Medicaid, food stamps or other welfare. Don't count federal spending where services are returned. (An army base shouldn't make you a "moocher state"). Don't count Soc Security or Medicare.

Being in favor of cause and effect, long run strategies, vaguely proportional costs and benefits, effective means to goals rather than chicken little scaremongering does not make one "pro-China."

On this episode of #Goodfellows, @JohnHCochrane dismisses #NatSec threats from #China in favor of continuing a globalist economic model. He also argues that MORE trade with China is the best way to moderate its behavior. He is pro-China. LISTEN: https://t.co/c5rYUAiQw6 https://t.co/Z8htpV8cd4
