#Pirates C Joey Bart worked the count full with the bases loaded and drilled a ball to the track to beat the #STLCards 2-1 in 13 innings. Chris Roycroft walked two and loaded the bases with the automatic runner. He got Andrew McCutchen to ground out, but couldn't retire Bart.

With the #STLCards an out away from winning the game in the 12th inning, former Cards outfielder Tommy Pham drilled a changeup into left field to score Ke'Bryan Hays from third to re-tie the game at 1-1.

Walker comes through in the clutch by squibbing a ball through the right side to beat the #Pirates shift. Finally, there's a run on the board. The #STLCards lead Pittsburgh 1-0 in the top of the 12th with one out.

The #STLCards came into today first in MLB in batting average (.291) and third in runs scored per game (6.45). But, this is how badly they have struggled today: They are 1 for 8 with RISP and the one hit went 15 feet, two #Pirates collided and Thomas Saggese was tagged out.

Neither the #STLCards nor the #Pirates could score in the 10th inning -- even with a ghost runner on second. The game heads to the 11th still scoreless. Michael Siani was thrown out at home in the top of the 10th, while Pitt couldn't get a runner past third in the bottom half.
