Her cousins and uncles were getting loud and silly, as people often do, and Annie needed a slight reprieve. While parents are normally in the audience clapping and taking pictures, one local mom decided to join her son on stage for the special occasion. There was no shortage of pride at SUNY Schenectady as the Class of 2025 crossed the stage. Two of the graduates know each other very well — they’re mother and son.

ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — Detectives never gave up solving the case of a baby’s remains found in September 1997 under the Moses Statue in in Albany’s Washington Park. DNA evidence eventually led them to Keri Mazzuca. Police released the September 2024 videotaped questioning of Mazzuca this week. Albany detectives asked for her help to solve a mystery. They told her that DNA testing on the baby’s remains was connected to her family.
